SAVING SONGBIRDS
October 18, 2017
Speaker: Dr Amanda Rodewald is with Cornell's Laboratory of Ornithlogy, the Department of Natural Resources and is a faculty fellow at the Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future. The habitats of migratory birds are disappearing and Columbia has lost 75% of its mountain forests due to coffee tree plantations. Dr Rodewald's discussion will focus on the importance of shade grown coffee to migratory birds, tropical ecosystems and to humans. We are lucky to have Dr Rodewald to speak just before she "migrates" south!
