HORTICULTURE: Book review of The Living Garden, The 400-year History of an English Garden
October 5, 2016
We will be reviewing a most interesting book for both gardeners and historians. A panel of our members will be presenters and discussion leaders. Everyone in the Club is invited to take part whether or not you read the book.
The book, written by George Ordish in 1985, is an enjoyable read, with stories about the families that first planted the property, the historical times, the women's impressive roles and the transitions that kept it going for over four centuries from 1556-1984.
