CHEMICAL DEFENSES that PROTECT PLANTS AGAINST INSECT ATTACK
April 19, 2017
Speaker: Georg Jander, professor in Plant Biology and the School of Integrative Plant Science. Plants in nature are fed upon by a million or more species of insect. However, any given plant is resistant to the vast majority of insect herbivores. This resistance is largely due to an array of often species-specific chemical defenses that protect plants against insect attack.
